04 · The name
Caxcanes
kahs-KAH-nesAbout the name
The Caxcanes were the Indigenous people of Jalpa and the Juchipila canyon in Zacatecas, Mexico. In the Mixtón War of 1540–1542 they held their ground at the Mixtón against overwhelming odds, and they are remembered for it.
We named the studio for them because that is the work: websites built strong enough to hold their ground, for small businesses that hold theirs every day.
